We Vet Before We Match. Here's Why That's Kind of a Big Deal.
Let's be real. Buying hotel technology can feel like a gamble. You sit through a great demo, the feature list looks perfect, you sign the contract and then a few months in, you find out that the thing you were most excited about is "still in development." Not great.
This happens more than it should and we’ve all experienced it. And it's exactly why we built our validation process into the foundation of everything Affixify does.
So What's the Problem We're Solving?
Here's how most hotel technology platforms work: vendors create a profile, submit their features, and those features go live for buyers to browse and compare. Some recognizable services are built around verified reviews, which is genuinely valuable for understanding user sentiment, but the features themselves are self-reported by vendors.Others streamline the comparison of vendors, but the features buyers are comparing are still coming directly from the vendors. Neither platform type has a mechanism to independently confirm that what's listed is actually available and in production.
That's the gap Affixify was built to close. We don't take vendor feature lists at face value. We validate them. Every capability that appears in the comparison dashboard has been independently confirmed as live before it ever reaches a buyer. Reviews are great. Slick comparison tools are great. But if the underlying feature data hasn't been verified, you're still walking into an evaluation on good faith.
We're not about that.
How We Do It Differently
Before any feature on Affixify can be matched to a buyer, it has to be validated. Not promised. Not "in beta." Not "coming soon." Actually live, in production, and available for your customer type.
Here's how it works:
Step 1: Features.
Vendors build their feature profile by selecting from our existing library or requesting additions for anything we haven't listed yet. This isn't a high-level "yes we do revenue management" checkbox. It's specific. What types of metrics are available in reports? How do you create your rate recommendations? How do you support group data? What integrations are available?
Step 2: Notify us.
Once the feature profile is set, vendors request validation straight from the feature library. Easy button, no chasing.
Step 3: Validation.
Our team goes through each feature via live web demo, recorded demo, or the vendor's learning library, whatever works best. The only question we're asking: is this real? If yes, it gets validated and goes live on the platform. If not, it doesn't. If on a roadmap or in beta, we make a note of the release date and jump back into the process then. We take this so seriously that validation is built into Affixify as part of our platform. Yes, we literally check a box y’all!
Final step: They’re live!
Once validation is complete, the vendor is available to be searched. Every feature driving a match has been confirmed. No asterisks, no fine print. And when platforms evolve and new features launch? Same process. New capabilities don't get added to results until they've been validated. The standard doesn't move.
Why This Matters for You (the Hotelier or Consultant)
The cost of a wrong technology decision isn't just the contract value. It's the implementation time, the staff retraining, the operational disruption, and the months spent trying to make something work that was never quite right for you. That's a lot of pain to go through because a feature list looked good on paper.
And if you're running a formal RFP process, the stakes get even higher. A lot of hoteliers send RFPs to a broad list of vendors, spend weeks collecting and comparing proposals, and only discover the feature gaps deep into the evaluation. Starting with an unverified longlist means your RFP process is doing work that shouldn't need to be done at that stage.
That's why we want to be part of the process before the RFP goes out. Affixify is built to be your first step, not another tool in the mix. Come to us to build your shortlist, validate the features that matter most to your property, and then go into the RFP already knowing the vendors on your list can actually deliver what you need. Fewer proposals to manage. Less time wasted. More confidence in the outcome.
Affixify's validation process changes your starting point. You're not walking into vendor conversations hoping everything checks out. You already know the fundamentals have been verified. Your evaluation time gets spent on the things that actually require your judgment: fit, culture, support, and long-term vision.
Why This Matters for Our Partners (the Vendors)
Here's the thing … This process is good for vendors too. When buyers trust the platform, they engage more seriously with the shortlists they receive. That means the conversations our partners have with potential customers are higher quality, more qualified, and more likely to convert. Validation isn't a hurdle, it's how we make sure the match is worth something for everyone in the room. Think of this process as your initial discovery with a prospect.
We're not here to rank anyone or hand out trophies. We're here to make sure the right buyer finds the right solution and that nobody wastes time on a demo that was never going to work.
That's the Affixify difference. And honestly? We think it's the way it should have always worked.
